Plenary stores account, organization, intake, report, alert, and source-document information needed to provide the service.

Organization-owned records are scoped to your authenticated organization. Email is used for account, reset, verification, and Radar digest messages.

Planning Center is an optional integration for churches and faith-based organizations that already use it. Planning Center data is imported only after OAuth authorization and is used to prefill intake fields. Organizations that do not connect it are unaffected. You can opt out of Radar digest emails in account settings.

If you check the optional permission when you submit your intake, Plenary reads the public pages you listed — your website and social pages — and a small number of pages linked from them on the same site, and uses what they say to strengthen your profile, matches, and reports. Without that permission those pages are never requested at all. You can withdraw it for any source on your Profile, and withdrawn sources are not read again.

If you install the optional Plenary Companion browser extension and pair it with an application, it records your fill actions on the approved funder portal (approvals, rejections, blocked fields, and confirmation events) into that application's audit trail. Page addresses are stored redacted — the site and trimmed path only, never query strings — and confirmation identifiers are stored as digests, never raw values. The extension works only on the funder origin you approved and stops recording when you end the pairing.

Some analysis (for example, drafting report narrative from your intake and uploaded source documents) is performed with third-party AI providers. Content sent for processing is limited to what the feature needs.
